LOVE is brewing...bridal shower

My cute cousin Emily is getting married February 13th and so this past Saturday my sisters and I threw a bridal shower with a tea party theme. We stole the idea from my aunt Sherrie and her daughters who threw one LAST February. I ordered colored bread from Macey's and we had tea sandwiches, salad, fruit with yummy dip, mini brownies, cream puffs, and mini melt away cookies.

My grandpa's sister JoAnn brought up this wedding dress that Emily's mother wore and so we made Emily try it on and take pictures with her mother's wedding photo.

I loved this picture as a little girl and couldn't wait for my wedding day when I could have a long train like this. I secretly hoped that I would be able to wear my aunt's dress.

FAMILY FUN SKI DAY @ BEAVER part I

FAMILY FUN SKI DAY @ BEAVER
This is a blog from two different ski days and you may see many more of these since I plan to be at Beaver pretty much every Saturday.
January 9th 2010

Clark attempted to get a picture of Laura and I skiing beautifully together. We didn't suceed very well.

The snow conditions weren't the greatest but it sure was warm and sunny.

The whole reason for this post...
FAMILY FUN SKI DAY 2010
(Tom, Shelly, Katie, Laura, Bill, Adrienne, Sam, Alex, McKinley)
I have THE FUNNEST family and we have such a great time skiing together. I'm so happy that this is a tradition that has continued for many years! We owe it all to my Grandpa who at 82 and battling cancer is still up on the slopes at Beaver tearing it up!

Family Fun Ski Day...

New Year's Eve DAY I had a little Family Fun Ski Day @ Beaver
Since there wasn't a lot of snow my fun Dad decided to find some powder off in the trees. There was a log. He thought he could ski OVER the log. But unfortunately the log took him down. Don't worry he wasn't hurt...maybe bruised his hip a little...but it made for some great pictures and tears from laughter rolling down mine and Sam's cheeks. Seconds before the log incident Sam's comment was "watch him fall over that log".
This picture is after he got his ski on he did a kick turn and fell down again. The tears were really coming down at this point. Thanks for the good times Dad!

At the end of the day we just HAD to try out the "magic carpet".

NEW YEAR'S...better late than never right?

Me about to DOMINATE at Wii Bowling!
I credited my win to two years on a bowling league.
Clark's awesome bowling moves...he could really put a spin on the ball.

And cute little Laura...

Nick had some pretty good moves but sadly...he lost.

Look at those scores...
Adrienne: 186
Clark: 175
Laura: 155
Nick: 133

Next up was archery...

Laura...always looking cute for the camera.

Archery was tricky for me and I did not dominate. I can't remember who won...Clark or Nick?!

New Year's was really mellow spent at home eating Papa John's pizza (yummmmm...spinach alfredo) and playing the wii with Clark & Laura.

Jack's 1st Birthday

FAT JACK as I like to call him celebrated his 1st Birthday on Saturday December 5th.
Allison put together a VERY CUTE collage of pictures from his first year.

Max was the good older brother that helped Jack open the presents...

...although he liked crawling and banging on the presents more than opening them.

Allison cut him a slice of the cake and he ATTACKED it.

(this is the BEST picture I have of him smiling. usually he and his brother just stare)

CHRISTMAS TIME...

I can't believe it is DECEMBER and in just 3 weeks it will be CHRISTMAS! Where did October and November go? I am not quite into the Christmas spirit yet and I am blaming it on the lack of snow!

It did help to go over to my grandparents and help them decorate their trees. I didn't get a picture of the first tree we decorated but it is a tree with ALL ski related ornaments! After that tree was complete we moved into the living room to decorate the cluster of trees with snowflakes crocheted by my great-grandma Veara. It was fun to remember her while hanging the snowflakes.
