My wonderful friend Natalie tagged me last week and I have been trying to think of 10 random things about me. So here we go:
#1 I am VERY afraid of the dark.
I can be at home WITH Nick and still be afraid that some weirdo mass murderer is going to bust through the door and kill us both. Also, even though I have been through the WHOLE house with the lights on, the second the lights go out I feel like there is someone lurking ready to attack.
#2 MATCHING
This one is for Natalie. I match my underwear with what I am wearing. This is a sickness I have had since I was a child and when I would wear socks to bed they HAD to match with my nightgown or I would go CRAZY!
#3 Light Switches - more OCD
If there is a double light switch they both HAVE to be the same way. Either both up or both down. I will go around the house turning lights off and on to make sure they are the same way. BUT the light switch at the bottom of our stairs that has three switches, it doesn't bother me if they are all not the same way. Weird I know.
#4 FOOD
This one is for Melissa Marti. I never noticed that I did this until my first year of college when I was eating a bowl of cereal and all of the sudden Melissa yelled out "JUST EAT IT"! Apparently after each bite I will move my food around. I recently found out that I got this quirkly trait from my Dad...he does it too.
#5 CRYING...
If I am feeling sad and just need to cry my favorite place to cry is in the shower. You can just let the tears stream down your face and the hot shower just makes you feel better.
#6 I am a cheerful person in the morning
Nick told me to write this one. I am surprisingly pretty cheerful in the morning. I wonder if this drives him crazy since he is usually grumpy?
#7 Grammar
Blame it on my Dad for being an English teacher and always correcting me but I hate it when people misuse words such as there and their and to, two, and too. To me this is nails on a chalkboard.
#8 FAMILY
I guess I should mention one of the most important things in my life and that is my family. My sisters are my BEST FRIENDS! I have the most fun with them and when we get together it is non-stop chatter! I also have such a fun extended family. It's crazy to me that some people don't know their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I always look forward to our family gatherings!
#9 Memory
I have a weird memory and can remember random things like what I wore on a certain day years ago or the name of a restaurant I ate at on a vacation.
#10 And this is the most important...I LOVE NICK!
I love that after six years I still get butterflies in my stomach when I see Nick! He is everything to me and I can't imagine my life without him!
Ok...I am tagging Allison, Kristin, and Melissa Marti. Have fun ladies!

FAT BABIES...
This past weekend I went to California with Allison, Laura, and Jack to visit Melissa, Adam, and of course Merrick! We had a lot of fun hanging out, watching the babies interact, and chattering nonstop! Just ask Adam. Here are some pictures from the trip!
Jack's first time on an airplane...he looks thrilled!

TOP OF UTAH MARATHON
TOU - Top of Utah 2009
I continue to be impressed by anyone who runs 26.2 miles in a matter of hours. I have often thought I should try and run a marathon but then running for 3-5 hours sinks in and I would much rather stand on the side of the road and cheer!
How does he have the energy to give us a peace sign?
Refueling with most likely a flat Dr. Pepper in Nibley
I swear we are the only ones in this valley that drink Dr. Pepper!
FAT JACK still in his PJ's waiting for grandpa and others to run by
Katie and McKinley with a RUN SLOW, SKI FAST sign to cheer on Tom
(we are missing Melissa who lives in CA)

JAMAICA...
It's a little late....
But here are some pictures from our honeymoon in JAMAICA!
We had a beachfront suite and it was so nice to be that close to the waterOne of the nights we went to Rick's Cafe which is this restaurant where you can jump off these man made cliffs into the ocean

Nick getting ready to jump...we think 40 ft?!
This was his first jump. You can see he is going in on kind of an angle. I didn't get a picture of his second jump but he went in at MORE of an angle and it left a good looking bruise on his butt. (That picture will not make it to the blog)
Me getting ready to jump...off a 10 ft jump...not 40 ft.
These guys would go around with a bucket trying to get everyone to fill it with money and then they would jump from this tree.
And there he goes...
Nick and I watching the sunset after dinner at Rick's Cafe
On our last night there we found this little guy hiding behind our drapes. Thank goodness it was the LAST night and not the FIRST.

Thank goodness it was the LAST night and not the FIRST.We also went snorkeling while in Jamaica but didn't have a waterproof camera to document the good time. And the pictures we tried to take down at the beach didn't turn out too well with the bright sun.

Sill's Cafe - Cinnamon Roll Race
To those who live or HAVE lived in the Layton area and know about Sill's Cafe...this blog is for you...
One of our equipment sales reps brought in 10 of these HUGE cinnamon rolls from Sill's Cafe...pretty much one for each of us in the office. Well Jason that I work with decided that he and I are going to have a race to see who can finish theirs the fastest. I told him I would take him up on that challenge!
This is mine so far...
